Many skin products and non-surgical beauty treatments don’t give us noticeable changes as promised because they cannot get through the layers of the skin. However there is non-invasive equipment and radio frequency devices that can help to solve the problem so products penetrate the skin barrier to the deeper layers – says Szilvia Drapos, qualified beautician.
One of the treatments Drapos utilizes is an alternative to botox - needle-free or virtual mesotherapy.
The therapy was invented by a French physician, Dr. Pistor, in the 1950s. Originally mesoteraphy was used to treat medical conditions such as osteoarthiritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, depression and anxiety. Later practitioners discovered that the technique could be used to treat skin conditions as well. Today it is used for wrinkles, cellulite, stretch marks, hair loss and acne. Now we have a modern, non-invasive type of mesotherapy to rejuvenate the skin with miracle results – she says.
During the painless, no-needle procedure, hyaluronic acid and large doses of vitamin A, B3 and C are delivered into the mesodermal layer. There are visible changes after the first treatment but for long lasting skin radiance, smoothness, tightness and complete rejuvenation more sessions are required.
How does it work?
The mesotherapy cocktail’s ingredients are delivered directly to the mesoderm by using ultrasonic technology. The quickly absorbed ingredients in the mesoderm help to improve cell nourishment, detoxification and reduce water retention.
Mesotherapy sessions
The beauty therapist establishes a treatment type based on an examination of the client’s skin and on the client’s needs.
The session starts with a deep cleaning and exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and achieve better penetration. The mesotherapy machine treatment itself is pleasant – the machine produces gentle electrical impulses which can give a pleasant tingling sensation. Treatment lasts from 40 minutes to an hour.
What type of skin problems can mesotherapy treat?
Various aging problems, acne, pigmentation, rosacea, dry and oily skin, dull and sensitive skin, scars, sagging skin and blemishes as well as skin whitening.
After treatment care
For 24 hours saunas and solariums must be avoided and a high UVA sunscreen is recommended at all times.
